Franklin "Biff" Levy, the managing director and founder of GS Mining Company, LLC, is a skilled executive with experience in various fields, including mining, fintech, and gaming. From 2005 to 2011, Franklin "Biff" Levy served as special counsel to the Las Vegas Sands resort company and as personal counsel to the company's chairman of the board, Sheldon Adelson.
Starting in 2012, Mr. Levy worked in the iron ore mining business in Ma’anshan, China, directing government relations and financing. He later co-founded GS Managing Company in Central City, Colorado, and focused on the rehabilitation and reopening of the Bates Hunter Gold Mine and the Golden Gilpin Mill. He currently oversees operations as well as legal and financial matters.
Among his other noteworthy roles, Mr. Levy serves as a director of York Street Partners (Seychelles) Ltd. and Brant Point Solutions, LLC. He previously worked as a consultant to China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park and as a senior partner of Tengri Holdings (Singapore) PTE Ltd.
Mr. Levy holds a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Yale. Mr. Levy has published two novels and is a member of the Mystery Writers of America. In his free time, he enjoys supporting the Stand Up and Learn program sponsored by the Nantucket Comedy Festival, which teaches stand-up comedy to kids to enhance their confidence and public speaking skills. He is a resident of West Hollywood, California.
